An integral role to deliver on-going best practice marketing support and development to partners across EMEA markets. The role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders and distributor partners, ensuring brand guidelines, marketing and POS initiatives are implemented to meet business goals.

Client Details

My client is a consumer goods business based in Berkshire who have recently acquired one of their competitors. They are a growing business with a fantastic culture who are looking for a Marketing Manager to join their team. With a great product offering across multiple brands this is a fantastic opportunity to work across the European markets and progress your career.


The Marketing Manager will be responsible for:

* Create an annual brand book with a marketing plan template for 20 (and growing) EMEA distributors to adapt and implement across their markets.

* Travel to distributor offices across the EMEA as the brand guardian to present annual marketing strategies and product launches with the EMEA Sales Director and Operations Manager.

* Maintain and develop a professional relationship with all distributor markets, nurturing diverse cultures and ways of working in terms of sales and marketing.

* Approve each distributor's marketing plan, ensuring they meet agreed ATL and BTL strategies and budget allocation according to CO-OP agreements.

* Be proactive in terms of initiating bi monthly calls with all markets to keep up to date with all projects to ensure activities are taking place according to timelines.

* Review marketing budgets on a quarterly basis to ensure they continue to meet contractual % agreements according to turnover forecasts. Ensure you are familiar with the distributor contracts between each market

* Ensure all marketing activities meet brand guidelines and that you are the brand guardian/point of approval for all activities with the markets.

* Mentor the local adaptation of creative assets provided by the USA HQ for each market, taking into account translation requirements, cultural sensitivities and individual market capabilities in terms of merchandising, POS, OOH, social media and digital activations.

* Manage and train the markets on merchandising, tutoring distributors on product plannograms and shop in shop guidelines distributed from the USA HQ.

* Know the POS catalogue back to front and be able to identify which displays and creatives are suitable for each market's product range, make recommendations accordingly.

* Be the creator and the owner of all sales support tools including order forms, catalogues, campaign creatives and POS collateral.

* Offer training for all these platforms if required either in person or via Skype to assist sales and product knowledge.

* Manage a database of all distributor contacts, activities, marketing plans and CO-OP agreements.

* Maintain a database of all the latest artwork and creatives for the distributors; be the go-to contact for these files.

* Provide a quarterly marketing report with clear ROI across all projects in conjunction with the sales director to share with HQ and MD.


The Marketing Manager will ideally display:

* High level of organisation and ability to work under pressure as you will be required to switch between EMEA contacts and ways of working on a daily basis.

* Adaptability in terms of approach to multiple cultures and personalities across all levels of seniority.

* Ability to work autonomously and make commercial decisions on short time scales.

* Be able to manage expectations on tight deadlines and 'roll up sleeves' to help undertake extra administrative projects when required.

* Commercially savvy with understanding of ROI on all marketing activities/impact on sales uplift.

* Knowledge of artwork packages and print processes to help provide specific file types for campaign activities.

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

* Proven project management skills.

* Ability to influence/facilitate results.

* Excellent relationship building and management skills.

* Strong, proven ability to work with others, especially across team boundaries.

* Creative problem solver.

* Interest and/or experience in luxury/fashion.

* Other languages advantageous.
