This person will be responsible for the management of all email and SMS communications to enhance awareness and engagement among internal stakeholders and the membership base.

This exciting membership organisation is a leading professional body for their industry.


* Managing the relationship with their Email Service Provider and ensuring they are optimising use of the system while also keeping up to date with any new features the ESP develop
* Working with the ESP to deliver new functionality on time and on budget, ensuring audience engagement is maximised on all email communications
* Managing all email and SMS automation including responsibility for all phases from briefing to testing and delivery
* Owning the email communication preferences and ensuring they are fit for purpose and adhering to GDPR requirements
* Regularly monitoring the organisation's email communications performance using metrics and Google Analytics insights, and working with other internal teams to test and implement changes that improve email performance
* Managing all ongoing training and development needs for all relevant internal stakeholders
* Delivery of a monthly member newsletter to a large audience
* Managing all communications to increase member engagement across various organisational activities and schemes
* Writing engaging copy and delivering across all channels including print, website and email while using campaign analytics to select the most appropriate channels
* Testing new approaches and ideas, and tracking the performance of campaigns using analytics to report back to stakeholders and guide future campaign activity
* Driving brand engagement through internal brand initiatives within the organisation including embedding the use of internal communication tools into the business
* Leading the internal Brand Champions group and supporting colleagues across the business to engage with and adhere to the brand
* Working closely with colleagues on appropriateness of communications (including channels and messaging) in achieving business objectives
* Leading on internal communications across the organisation as appropriate



* Proven experience of using Email Service Providers and keeping up to date with latest email trends, particularly around email automation
* Ability to evaluate and report on marketing activity using analytics and key metrics (ie, Google Analytics)
* Proven experience in the development and delivery of marketing campaigns with strong email focus
* Strong user of user of CRM systems and Microsoft Office 365 - Word, PowerPoint and Excel
* Project management experience with ability to produce clear briefs and deliver on time and to budget
* Excellent time management skills with ability to manage multiple projects at once
* Proactive self-starter with ability to work autonomously but also as a team
* Focused on innovation and creative thinking with a track record of developing new ideas and introducing change
* Being a positive, constructive, supportive and flexible team member with ability to mentor others
* Communicate effectively and confidently in speaking and writing with ability to lead on meetings and training sessions


* Previous experience within a membership or education organisation
* Degree or equivalent preferably in Marketing, or relevant marketing / digital marketing qualification

Job Offer

This organisation is looking to offer a salary of between £36,000 and £38,000 depending on experience.
