The overall purpose of this role is: To provide a highly pro-active, efficient and effective marketing and administrative support to the Head of Europe and to assist in coordination and support of Team Europe activities as appropriate. This role may from time to time involve some travel within Europe and working unsocial hours.

Duties

* Provide marketing support to Head of Europe and European market offices to ensure smooth running of marketing operations across the team and provide assistance on specific regional or pan European projects and activities.
* Ensure the Head of Europe is fully updated on European and Head Office projects and operations, and prioritise follow up as and when necessary.
* Provide administrative support to Head of Europe, including diary management, travel and expenses, as well as manage reports and records for Europe.
* Administer European central budget in line with company policies and procedures and review all European market budgets each month, with a view to providing exception reports as necessary.
* Provide coordination support to European offices, to facilitate timely and relevant communication between offices, Europe office and Head Office.
* Provide marketing assistance to Head of Europe and market offices. Monitor on an ongoing basis market trends, access developments and intelligence/competitor activities for reporting and planning purposes.
* Provide support to northern European market teams as appropriate, including support for in market events and campaigns
* Help organise business and team events such as internal Europe Day event, Coach Operator Familiarisation trips, pan Europe Familiarisation trips, working with Fáilte Ireland, Tourism Northern Ireland and other organisations as appropriate.
* Help build team Europe ethos across European market offices through regular internal communications, Team Europe Ezine and organisation of Europe day.
* The post holder may be required to represent Tourism Ireland at various industry events as well as at corporate functions and events.

* Such other duties as the company may from time-to-time reasonably require

The successful candidate will possess the following skills, experience and competencies.

* Good knowledge of marketing, in particular digital and social media skills.
* Efficient administrator with good budgetary and reporting skills.
* Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
* Proven organisational and administration skills with demonstrable attention to detail.
* Capable of working on own initiative and of delivering within tight timescales and deadlines.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* An ability to handle all matters with discretion and confidentiality.
* Excellent team player and ability to interact remotely across several markets.
* Experience of using IT systems such as Integra (Finance System).
* Knowledge of European languages.
* Knowledge and understanding of the Island of Ireland Tourism product, as well as tourism infrastructure.
* Ability to demonstrate creativity and innovation.
* Ability to identify and understand trade & Industry partner needs, both in Europe and the island of Ireland.
* Strong Administrative and Reporting skills
* Proactive and able to work autonomously
* Able to work to short time scales and experienced in multi-tasking
