Job - Fundraising Forecasting Analyst - Horsham - £30669 - Major Animal Welfare Charity

Your new role
Forecasting, monitoring and reporting on income in excess of £100m and expenditure of £17m across all teams within Income Generation, ensuring managers, directors and trustees are informed of the society's financial position. Responsible for designing, creating and maintaining the forecasting models to accurately identify where to invest budget in order to achieve the best return on investment and maximise the Society's income.


What you'll need to succeed

● To build forecasting models and tools to aid all income generation teams and enable the organisations to forecast on all fundraising income over a 5 year period.
● To plan, build and maintain a complex suite of financial risk assessment and forecasting models/tools and use these to provide specialist knowledge to senior fundraisers and Head of Department on how to counter risk and optimize income.
● Take ownership for project initiation, design, delivery and communication of all findings.
● Capture, translate and manage the financial data, attrition figures and results within the forecasting models. Involves developing a detailed understanding of the complex variables which affect income generation and liaising closely with Finance and fundraising teams.
● Direct concise communication to managers and Head of Department to ensure awareness of any variance of financial performance between actual results and forecasted budget. Must identify clearly through detailed analysis any variance drivers and provide full understanding on all variables.
● Enhancing tracking capability through the design and development of new management information systems. Reporting on departmental KPIs and financial performance for all teams within fundraising for use by the directors of Income Generation and the Trustees.
● Continually seek opportunities to improve the forecasting process, making recommendations where necessary and implementing the changes.
● Proactively identify areas where analysis is required to improve our understanding of supporter behaviour. Present proposals for recommendations to Income Generation Managers/Head/Directors.
● Create an underlying income forecast for the individual giving team, predicting, in detail, budgets in excess of £30m. Managing the relationship between Income Generation and Finance in order to effectively monitor the forecasts, ensuring they fall in line with financial budgets and adjusting them accordingly when required.
