The objective of the role is to increase and maximise long term profitability of the European, Middle East and Asia (EMEAA) membership base by effective direct marketing strategies and activity. To stimulate member Exchange and Getaway activity through effective direct marketing driven by renewal, retention and loyalty initiatives across all channels. Oversee member value proposition and benefits. Oversee membership marketing functions, including membership fulfilment functions.

Based in London the Senior Manager, Membership and Corporate Marketing will be responsible for:

* Manage staff within the department in line with the Company's Human Resource policies and procedures so that performance is maximised and individuals achieve their full potential.

* Devise and implement an agreed strategic marketing plan of activities and campaigns for all members of staff throughout each year.

* Take responsibility for the planning, execution and control of the European, Middle East and Asia direct marketing expenditure budget, working to agreed targets for revenues, expenditure and return on investment.

* Working to the annual plan, design and implement all solicitation programmes within agreed guidelines, followed by detailed analysis of results.

* Undertake detailed analysis of European and Asia membership and market trends, with recommendations to assist in achieving revenue goals.

* Take responsibility for the integrity of the member contact database, ensure the required maintenance and updates are conducted to run the direct marketing activity associated with renewals, upgrades, cross-selling and communication of additional benefits to the membership base.

* Work in conjunction with the European, Middle East and Asian telemarketing and call centre management teams to ensure a fully integrated approach between all direct mail and telemarketing activities as part of the consumer marketing strategy.

* Work with Creative Services, Legal and Warehouse management so that direct marketing and other membership communications/fulfilment activity is co-ordinated and controlled.

* Work in conjunction with the European, Middle East, Asian and UK Operations management teams to review sales performance against targets and implement direct marketing activity to stimulate core business.

* Work in conjunction with the EMEAA Sales teams to promote member loyalty amongst resorts and devise direct marketing strategies to increase owner conversions through focused membership drives.

* Work with the Miami Membership Marketing team on selected co-ordinated campaigns.

* Take responsibility for the selection of direct marketing suppliers and manage working relationships.

* Manage and drive content of membership and corporate materials including fulfilment kits, collateral, etc.

* Manage all existing third party relationships.

* Cultivate relationships with existing/new local suppliers and actively seek additional benefits to enhance value proposition.

* Actively seek to improve and enhance existing global benefits and work with Corporate Head Office to secure new services/benefits that are applicable to global markets.

* Involve all relevant departments in product development and solicit input on promotion, pricing and distribution strategies. Host regular review meetings with key department heads.

* Design, implement and analyse consumer research studies in line with identified business needs.

* Develop performance reporting methodologies so that the impact of initiatives can be effectively evaluated.

* Undertake any other reasonable duties as may be required consistent with the post.


Based in London, the successful candidate must have/be:


* Experience in consumer and direct marketing techniques

* Experience in sales and marketing promotions

* Campaign management experience.

* Business to customer (B2C) marketing experience.

* Staff management experience.

* Analytical thinking.


* Ideally a Chartered Institute of Marketing or equivalent professional qualification in direct marketing.

* Marketing experience in a membership-based environment is a must.

* Database management experience.

* Pan European marketing experience.
