Client Details

A newly formed Procurement Body, specifically formed to support the growing needs of the NHS, its ongoing financial constraints and resulting buying challenges, is now looking for a Head of Communications.


Description

Providing strategic leadership of the Communications and Customer Services team, you'll oversee customer engagement, relationship management, problem resolution, communication, marketing and formal consultation. Key activities will include:



* Excellent analytical and communication skills including ability to develop clear key messages

* Ability to communicate complex and sometimes contentious information effectively to a wide range of audiences

* Excellent IT Skills including knowledge of HTML, web page design and knowledge of emerging web page development standards

* Proven track record in producing communications material and working with a range of software such as Publisher, SharePoint, Photoshop and website software
* Knowledge of communications, public relations, journalism and marketing communications techniques, approaches, procedures, health service communications, organisation, project management, external political environment


Profile

* A proven track record as a communications leader who has managed a team
* You would have experience in communications, public relations, journalism and marketing communications techniques, approaches, procedures, health service communications, project management, and communications within external political environment.
* Ideally have worked in procurement setting, perhaps within a healthcare, public sector of even the NHS
