The purpose of the Junior Content Designer is to create, edit, and manage engaging and user-centred content on the web. Engage in Discovery and consultation to culminate in effective user-journeys.

Client Details

Based in Central London, this Public Sector and Government Office is currently engaged in a long-term policy to maintain the UK's position as a player in the global economy in light of EU Exit. This will be achieved through open policy-making to fairly and effectively regulate industry for the benefit of both consumers and businesses.


Following the principles set out by Government Digital Service, the key purpose of the role is to ensure online content is informative, engaging, and intuitively laid out. The Junior Content Designer will do this by:

* Auditing and writing content based on research, planning, and storyboard creation.

* Consider and propose ideas for splitting information into logical chunks that are easier to read and follow.

* Ensure that web page content is edited properly to increase on-screen readability and Search Engine Optimisation.

* Ensure content is in line with guidelines and instructions.

* Work with the digital communications team to agree web design.

* Assist in planning and participate in user testing of revised pages.


To deliver at pace and make effective decisions, the successful candidate will:

* Have experience in research and consultation to create and maintain user-centric content
* Great knowledge of web management and a solid technical understanding

Job Offer

The successful Junior Content Designer candidate will lead on Digital Content in a crucial EU Exit period, and will received circa £200/day for a minimum of 10 months.
