To build, develop and manage the UK & Ireland marketing team to create and deliver strategic and tactical marketing plans which support the success of the current portfolio of branded products and the new product pipeline.

To contribute to the development and growth of the UK & Ireland business as a key member of the Commercial team.

Based in London, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for:

* Recruit, manage, coach and develop a high performing marketing team which effectively supports the success of the UK & Ireland business.

* Manage the preparation of launch plans for new products, involving key stakeholders and ensure successful implementation of the launch.

* Oversee the creation and implementation of high quality strategic and tactical plans utilising the marketing mix (including effective financial forecasts) to maximise the potential of each product in the branded portfolio.

* Forecasting for the promoted products in the branded portfolio.

* Strategy for pricing and distribution for the promoted products in the branded portfolio.

* Take specific responsibility for marketing campaign/s for key, high value products which are critical to the success of the UK & Ireland business.

* Work cross functionally internally with all relevant stakeholders including (but not limited to) Sales and Medical team members and Commercial colleagues to increase sales across the broad portfolio

* Commercial signatory for promotional materials


Based in London, the successful candidate must have/be:

* Previous experience in Marketing (and Sales preferably as well) within Pharma companies.

* Recent experience as a commercial signatory for promotional materials

* Experience of managing new product launches - including digital campaign development, advertising etc

* Previous people management experience

* Strategic thinking and ability to forward plan

* A successful track record in marketing, most of which needs to have been obtained recently in a best practice pharmaceutical sector

* Sales management experience is desirable

* Strong commercial acumen

* Understanding of the changing NHS landscape and its impact on the pharmaceutical industry

* ABPI Qualification

* Educated to University Degree level or qualified by experience
