Are you an experienced PR/external communications manager with detailed knowledge of content management approaches and brand development? Do you have a track record in successfully managing both crisis communications as well as proactive PR activities?

A global leader in the insurance and reinsurance space is currently seeking a Channel Manager - PR and Media to deliver PR and media channel support in line with the strategic and tactical needs of the business.

This role is responsible for managing international, content-led project, processes and campaigns to build awareness of, and engagement with the brand in key markets and geographies.

The successful person will leverage earned, owned and paid for PR/communications channels to deliver required outcomes and foster service excellence.

Key responsibilities:

* Working with the marketing leadership team to agree and create appropriate and effective campaigns to support corporate and strategic business unit objectives.
* Proactively researching and identifying campaign ideas from business activities, marketing communication plans corporate responsibility activity, thought leadership, sponsorship and brand assets to generate content to support messaging and reinforce engagement.
* Liaison with local marketing communications specialists to translate ideas into outcome-focused campaign plans across earned, owned and paid-for PR and media channels.
* Supporting the creation of content for use across relevant PR and media channels.
* Securing distribution of content across the channels mix.
* Managing resources to ensure timely delivery of defined outcomes within budget.
* Developing effective relationships across leadership, business and functional teams to deliver positive outcomes.
* Providing advice on PR and Media matters across the wider business and marketing teams.
* Constantly seeking opportunities to improve and enhance PR and media processes to share across the business.

Key skills/competencies:

* Proven knowledge of content management approaches to brand development.
* Experience of international brand campaign planning and execution.
* Knowledge and experience of delivering communications, PR and media activity within an international brand.
* Experience of working effectively with external communications and brand suppliers, including PR and representatives.
* Experience of working with international and multi-cultural teams and environments.
* Effective PR and media relations experience to promote and enhance the brand and achieve defined outcomes.
* Internal and external event management experience.
* Discretion and the ability to work with sensitive information.
* Focus on delivery.
* Logical and analytical approach to PR/Media strategy.
* High attention to detail/accuracy essential.
* Commercially aware.
* Demonstrated project management experience.
