The Bid Manager will be responsible for leading the preparation and submission of a new major bid to provide quality assurance services across the UK on behalf of a professional regulatory body.


Client Details

A Not for Profit organisation that works nationally to provide quality assurance services across the UK. Based in Gloucester.


Description

The Bid Manager will be responsible for:

* Leading and coordinating the preparation and compilation of QAA's bid submission, collating information from relevant internal teams.
* Developing a bid plan and managing the Bid team on delivery.
* Supporting the development of solutions and ensure they have been appropriately tested for viability.
* Working with finance team, managing and reporting on costings and forecasting.
* Organising bid logistics to facilitate the bid submission.
* Reporting on bid process to senior managers.
* Working with PR team to ensure that messages about the tender are consistent and appropriate.
* Chair Bid team meetings.


Profile

The Bid Manager will have:

* A strong background in leading complex and large bids, from initial engagement with the client through to contract signature.
* A strong background in resourcing and leading a diverse team to support the bid process.
* A background in working at senior level, internally and externally.
* A knowledge of public sector procurement.
* A background in managing a range of tender processes, including EU procurement legislation.
* Excellent project management skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
