An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive Press Officer with wide ranging experience to join forward thinking organisation by providing press and editorial support to the organisations communications function. The organisation is largest in its field in the UK focusing on maintaining its outstanding reputation by employing only the top employees.

Your new role
You will be responsible for delivering engaging editorial content to the organisations wide-ranging audience to positively promote the organisation, their work and their achievements. You will draft a range of clear and compelling media releases, statements, and comment pieces for both their internal and external audiences across a range of platforms including websites, micro-sites, intranets and social media.

This is a diverse role. You will be involved in evaluating and monitoring media, reviewing and disseminating news coverage internally in an understandable manner. You will need to be Proactive in your approach to looking out for promotion opportunities for the organisation through events and projects.

What you'll need to succeed
Experience in a similar role within a press office, newsroom or other communication team is essential. You will need to be able to demonstrate success of implementing campaigns, writing media releases and have excellent knowledge of UK national and regional media. A genuine interest for health communications and the ability to translate and deliver scientific information comprehensively for a range of audiences would be advantageous.
It is essential that you can begin contributing immediately, have strong IT skills, an eye for detail, ability to prioritise your workload effectively and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
