This organisation is looking for a Senior Direct Marketing Officer to join their Acquisition team in London on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract, with the potential to become permanent.

This organisation is a well-known charity focused on children with a wide reaching marketing team.


The key responsibilities of this Senior Direct Marketing Officer will be:

* Contributing to strategy development and being responsible for budgetary constraints within the Acquisition team, including analysing and assessing the acquisition programme and contributing to emergency activity strategies;
* Guaranteeing the implementation and management of all campaign phases;
* Aid with the building of acquisition strategies focusing on supporter growth and calibre;
* Campaign and media profile growth analytics;
* Working with separate teams to ensure all analysis is beneficial to the aims of the direct marketing team
* Producing and delivering on acquisition campaigns, working alongside internal teams and external agencies and keeping them within planned budgets and deadlines;
* Building and executing direct marketing campaigns responding to emergencies
* To work closely with the direct marketing team ensuring the co-ordination of all activities, retaining a focus on donors;
* To work closely with the organisation's PR and trading teams to develop and make the best use of all opportunities;
* Managing both internal and external relationships, including those with direct marketing agencies and the acquisition team;
* Build and maintain the organisation's international relations;
* Line management of fellow direct marketing officers, giving performance reviews and ensuring all deadlines and objectives are met;
* To be available when necessary, sometimes working beyond the organisation's working hours.


The person specification for this Senior Direct Marketing Officer will:

* Expertly make logical analysis on all available information, basing decisions on insight and not assumptions;
* Be able to utilise time management to ensure multiple concurrent tasks are completed by set deadlines, incorporating a flexible response to any unforeseen occurrences internally and externally;
* Be forthcoming with innovative and creative ideas;
* Have an in-depth knowledge of the charity sector and the organisation's supporters, utilising this to predict future trends;
* Be able to present complex ideas in an engaging way for multiple audiences;
* Be adaptable in both channel and content when responding to audiences to ensure transparency;
* Have experience in acquisition and direct marketing campaigns, preferably having managed a budget of at least £500k or equivalent business across a variation of channels and media;
* Experience of analysing and contributing to direct marketing campaigns, strategies, plans, and budgets;
* Experience of management over direct marketing suppliers and building and maintaining exceptional relationships internally;
* Experience with line management, including clear expectations, objectives, deadlines, and providing strategic direction;
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.

Job Offer

This organisation is looking to offer a salary of £38,000. The role will initially last for around 6 months but there is the potential for this role to be made permanent.
