Brand Manager – Leading OTC Brand
c.£42K-£48K + Car Allowance + Bonus

Head west of London for this challenging and interesting opportunity to work on a major OTC healthcare brand – a must-stock brand in grocery and chemist outlets.  Working in a dynamic team, you’ll play a key role in developing the brand strategy and plans; managing day-to-day brand building initiatives; driving innovation and brand stretch projects and managing A&P activity, including ensuring media budgets are well managed and deliver a good return on investment.  Using market insight and internal sales data, you’ll monitor brand performance on an ongoing basis – flagging issues and opportunities for the brand, and making recommendations for action.  If you are looking to make the step up to a BM role or you are already operating at BM level and are seeking a new challenge, call us now for more details.

Key responsibilities for this role

  • Development and delivery of brand strategy and annual brand activation plan
  • Tracks and analyses brand/product performance and trends
  • Actively contribute to brand team culture with focus on delivering with excellence 
  • Support the development of NPD and commercial innovation pipeline and rollout plans
  • Collaborate with agencies to deliver creative assets and media plan

Our Ideal Candidate

With a robust background in FMCG, personal care or OTC marketing, you’ll have already gained broad experience across the marketing mix, ideally having developed a brand plan, managed promotional initiatives and been involved in media selection, packaging design, NPD, consumer insight and digital marketing.  You’ll have a solid grasp of the UK market, ideally with an understanding of both the grocery and pharmacy channels and will be looking for a new challenge in which to show your flair and get some solid achievements under your belt.  In what is a dynamic and busy environment, strong commercial acumen, interpersonal and project management skills are essential, together with a good understanding of major PC programs.  OTC marketing experience is definitely not essential.
