The main focus of the post is to provide press and editorial support to the Communications function.

You will be responsible for delivering engaging editorial content to the wide-ranging audience to positively promote the organisation and their work. You will draft a range of clear and compelling media releases, statements, opinion and comment pieces for both our internal and external audiences across a range of platforms including websites, microsites, intranets and social media.

Within this diverse role, you will also be involved in evaluating and monitoring media, reviewing and disseminating news coverage internally in an understandable manner. Open to opportunity, you will look out for possibilities to promote the organisation, events and projects.

To be successful in this role you will have experience in a similar role within a press office, newsroom or other communication team and will be able to demonstrate success of implementing campaigns and writing media releases. Alongside a strong knowledge of UK national and regional media as well as a genuine interest for health communications, you will have the ability to translate and deliver scientific information comprehensively for a range of audiences.

The client is open to your sector background but you must have a background of working in a fast paced environment.
