The position of Marketing Manager - Sports & Venues - for this exciting young company is a great chance for someone to lead all marketing activities and have a strong influence on the growth of the brand.

Client Details

The client is a young company who have a lean team that are building an exciting business for sports fans. They have already made a good name for themselves and partnered with some exciting brands on key sporting event campaigns. As they continue their growth and look to build their market reach, this role for a Marketing Manager to head up marketing strategy and delivery will be an exciting opportunity for both personal and professional development.


The role of Marketing Manager for this sport and venues focused company will include the following responsibilities:
Create and deliver the company marketing strategy
Ensure effective content plan and work closely with product team
Work to develop brand campaigns that will create customer activity
Measure campaign performances and present back to leadership team on effectiveness of activity and how it aligns to overall commercial goals
Manage 1 direct report and freelancers
Track and effectively manage the marketing budget


The ideal candidate will possess the following:
A strong knowledge of marketing strategy in the consumer space, in-house or agency experience is fine
Able to demonstrate effective delivery of marketing plans within a lean team/company
Sound understanding of channel optimisation and reporting on KPIs
Strong content marketing knowledge
Ideally have had budget control and team management experience
Sound understanding of maximising brand exposure
An enthusiasm and passion for sports
Be degree educated, to a minimum 2:1 standard
