Description

* To support the Corporate and Community Fundraising Manager in the development of a leading -edge community and events fundraising strategy that maximizes sustainable net income and long term value.









* To develop and implement a programme of community and events fundraising activity that maximizes sustainable net income and long term value from:





* Individual volunteers





* Fundraising groups





* Community organisations (eg Rotary)





* Schools





* Students





* Employees





* Challenge and other event participants







* To develop a suite of excellent volunteer fundraising collateral, both offline and online and deploy working collaboratively with the charities Fundraising, Marketing and Communications and Public Engagement teams.









* To work collaboratively with the individual giving and major donor teams to ensure that cross selling opportunities to community fundraising audiences are optimized (eg legacy marketing and major donor prospecting).







* To regularly review outcomes and performance against plans and to make appropriate recommendations and take remedial action where necessary.







* Develop, implement and monitor an annual area fundraising plan and budget.







* Assess the potential of existing community fundraising audiences and propose strategies for their future management, support and development to ensure that they are maintained and motivated to reach their fundraising potential.







* Facilitate volunteer development by coaching and training in group situations or on a one to one basis.







* Work with the CRM and Supporter Services team to ensure that all data on volunteers and fundraising contacts is accurate and up to date.





* To keep abreast of Charity Law and fundraising developments across the charity sector by networking with fundraising staff in other organisations, undertaking training and abiding by the Charities Act and ICFM codes of conduct.







* Undertake talks and presentations as appropriate.







* Raise public awareness within the area by working actively in the community with local media and other relevant organisations.


Profile

* Excellent knowledge and appreciation of community fundraising principles and practice:





* The identification, recruitment, development and retention of volunteer fundraisers and groups to optimise long term value.





* Challenge events.





* Employee fundraising.





* Excellent appreciation of how digital platforms can be utilised to enhance community fundraising activities and campaigns.





* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.













* A proven track record of growing net income through establishing, developing and nurturing volunteer fundraisers and fundraising groups.


Job Offer

3 to 6 month contract

£28,000 circa
