Exceptional opportunity for a super smart insight, data & strategy specialist to bring their skills to this global FMCG powerhouse in a key global hub in Amsterdam.  In what is a highly strategic role, you will support the growth of major global brands- generating compelling consumer, shopper and market insights to shape and guide strategic thinking around brand equity, communications, and brand/product innovation. This role is all about innovation that outperforms competitors, brand equities that are breakthrough in their categories and global business thinking that ensure continued success for the business globally.

Reporting at a senior level globally, the candidate will provide consumer insight support to global brand and R&D teams, building strong partnerships with key research providers and presenting action plans that drives results.

Key responsibilities in the role include:

  • Maintaining a strong focus and involvement in innovation and renovation with insight and ideas that drive the innovation pipeline and challenge thinking.
  • Managing strategic brand research and insight projects, implementing globally standardized, consistent and best practice methodologies.
  • Exploring new methodologies to answer new business questions faster and better.
  • Providing high quality support to the brand teams in interpreting insight findings results and contributing to practical action plans that use the data.
  • Understanding and using relevant syndicated Nielsen data alongside ad-hoc insights to drive growth for the brands/category.

Key Skills Checklist

  • Extensive experience in an FMCG consumer insights & data role almost certainly gained client-side but perhaps in an agency or consulting role.
  • Very strong quantitative skills with the ability to integrate primary research findings with macro-economic factors, secondary/syndicated data and basic financial modeling to ensure recommendations are actionable and tell a holistic story.  A good grasp of qual techniques would be a significant plus.
  • Wide experience managing multi-country insight and research projects, supporting new business/brand development and strategy development.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills with a proven ability to build collaborative partnerships.
  • Highly results focused and able to handle a heavy workload with competing priorities.
  • Always displaying sound business judgment and intelligence, attention to detail, learning agility, high energy level.
