Ensure that all communications are coherent and unified across the spectrum of the firm;s activities in the UK. A key role in helping to build a strong Strategic Communications function, grounded in rigorous reputation tracking and management; and meticulous planning and delivery of key corporate communications projects in support of strategic change and prosecution of narrative.

Our client is a leading Accountancy Firm.


Based in London, the Senior Manager Corporate Affairs Planning will be responsible for:

* Responsible for the coordination of Corporate Affairs planning across all functions.

* Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date planning grids. Monitor external sources and factor in relevant external developments to the extent to which these can be identified, for example parliamentary, EU government and regulatory activity in the UK.

* Build strong relationships with colleagues across the business to enable the effective monitoring of programmes and campaign communications, flagging risks in a timely and appropriate manner to allow intervention and remedy.

* Rigorous planning and organisation of key corporate communications campaigns and events working with others in Corporate Affairs.

* Use stakeholder insight, knowledge of engagement techniques and the external environment as well as understanding the firm's strategic priorities to identify how communications can enhance and deliver on our objectives.

* Work with external research consultants to regularly track and benchmark firm's reputation across a range of stakeholders and against competitors.

* Regularly sense check and revise communications and engagement plans against external backdrop/factors.

* Package all research and insight into digestible content for internal stakeholders and work with the Corporate Affairs function to develop specific actions and recommendations on the back of it.

* Responsible for organising and attending the Board Reputation Committee.

* Provide the Board Reputation Committee with challenging recommendations for discussion and agenda items.

* Ensure Board Reputation Committee members are regularly updated on issues pertaining to firm's brand and reputation.

* Fully brief Head of Corporate Affairs and Director of Communications prior to Board Reputation Committee meetings.


Based in London, the successful candidate must have/be:

* A skilful and influential person who is able to engage fellow members to a strategic communications frame.

* Someone who is able to raise awareness of the importance of the firm's position and reputation in the market and being capable to work with different people/styles to one common goal.

* Previous PR/external comms experience is not a must, but a sound understanding and interest in this discipline is important.

* Candidate with a real skills on project management, ability to engage people and follow up on commitments is a must.
