Your new company

King's Health Partners, one of six Academic Health Sciences Centres (AHSC) in England, brings together three of the country's leading NHS foundation trusts, Guy's and St Thomas', King's College Hospital and South London and Maudsley, with a world-class university, King's College London.

Your new role

This post supports communications for both the King's Health Partners Hematology Institute Programme and the King's Health Partners Neurosciences Institute Programme, in order to shape delivery of our mission and promote the presence, good reputation, and standing of each Programme at local, regional, national, and international levels.

You will:

* Provide planning, co-ordination and delivery of integrated communications strategies to support internal and external communications for both institutes aimed at staff, stakeholders, our partners and other audiences.

* Ensure that communications support is consistent with the partnership's mission and objectives, values and brand, and reflects our position as one of the world's leading providers of healthcare, professional education and academic research.

* Identify and research opportunities for positive news stories for a range of channels to promote and enhance each institute's reputation.

* Manage the Neurosciences and Haematology content for the King's Health Partners website, making sure that it is used to promote the work of the partnership as effectively as possible and generating new and innovative ways of presenting content.

* Work closely with communications teams in the four partner organisations and identify key stakeholders to support and coordinate communications requirements.

* Design and produce materials required and work with external suppliers to manage the production of corporate materials.

* Support the programme team to deliver high quality events for internal and external audiences.

* Inspire trust and confidence internally and externally in the expertise and professionalism of the communications department.

* Provide support to the central KHP communications team on ad-hoc projects not related to the Neurosciences or Haematology Programmes where capacity allows.
