Job - Business Development Exec - Brighton - up to £24k depending on experience

My client are a leading digital learning organisation based in central Brighton. They offer consultancy and bespoke packages for learning to FTSE 100 and Forbes 500 companies.

Your new role
This role would suit an astute and keen graduate or someone looking to transition into business development and marketing. Very much a career 'starter' role, progression is structured and rapid in line with the company's incredible growth.

Typical responsibilities would include:
Research and planning

* Researching target accounts
* Identifying target contacts and build detailed contact plans to develop opportunities

Sales activity

* Deliver against lead generation targets by pro-actively creating and responding to contact opportunities
* Support and attend company marketing events and client meetings, building relationships, promoting the organisation's services and co-ordination of the follow-up actions as required
* Organise and plan weekly pro-active activity to achieve set targets
* Pull together relevant marketing collateral to send to contacts
* Actively seek new contacts within existing and parent accounts to drive additional opportunities
* Work closely with the Account Director and marketing teams to create opportunities and firm commitment via campaigns/events
* Target key contacts within sector; confidently articulating the core company propositions with succinct, tailored messages
* Effective outbound calling/email to targeted accounts
* Use social media to build and maintain relationships with potential clients

Knowledge capture and sharing

* Ensure excellent record keeping on the sector portfolio of accounts to include regular updates and maintenance of Salesforce
* Work closely with the Marketing Team to understand what the latest collateral is and how this can be tailored for each new client
* Mapping and updating organisational structures and business changes for target accounts
* Contribute to the wider team through the sharing of ideas, experience and knowledge, and avoiding duplication of effort
* Capturing industry, sector and competitor data in a manner supportive of our desire to share internal knowledge more effectively

What you'll need to succeed

* Strong written and verbal communication skills - able to communicate effectively and build rapport at all levels in an organisation
* An ambassador of the company, immaculate personal presentation and preparation when attending client meetings or events
* Flexible attitude and able to succeed in a changing, challenging and fast-paced growing environment
* Understanding of corporate buying behaviour
* An understanding of operational management or learning and development is an advantage
* Key Account Management/development experience
* B2B sales experience - preferred but not essential
* Able to work under own initiative and as part of a team
* Strong and evidenced planning and organisational capability
