A great role has arisen for a Business Development Manager within a global big-hitting law firm.

In this role, you will be part of the BD team supporting the development of the London Finance & Capital Markets ("F&CM") practices. The role will primarily support the London-based Energy & Infrastructure ("E&I") practice in its client and market development initiatives, and work with the F&CM, London and international business development teams to facilitate the flow of information and highlight BD opportunities across the firm's global network.

This role is business critical in its support to the market-leading team of lawyers and is an opportunity for a high-energy BD professional to make a huge impact within F&CM more generally and to influence what the E&I and wider projects propositions will look like across the Firm.

This is a strategic role requiring an individual who will be able to: adopt a problem-solving approach to day-to-day support; guide others in resolving complex issues; play a key role in setting best practice and take the lead on the successful delivery of cross-border and/or cross-practice initiatives. The successful candidate will also be expected to take an active role in supporting the Firm's Worldwide Projects Group and Energy and Resources sector focus, to manage a client account(s) and to have line management responsibilities. Key responsibilities include: revenue generation, reputation management and marketing communications, client relationship management/planning and line management.

You will have previous experience in professional services business development (preferably in a law firm) and broad experience in dealing with senior management and key stakeholders, have a strong interest in project finance products and the energy and resources sector and have had previous line management responsibility. You'll have a good commercial awareness of legal and financial market developments, a track record of being proactive and delivering high quality work with excellent project management skills, as well as being a good team player with high quality written communication skills and the ability to be creative (e.g. BD techniques, ideas). You'll have good coaching, influencing and presentation skills and be confident, articulate, and resilient and focused.
