Job Title: Marketing Analyst

Purpose of the role:

To support the Sales and Business Development Departments throughout the CETP group by gathering and providing market intelligence, including but not limited to the analysis of clients, markets, product opportunities and competitors.

Key Responsibilities:

Gather and analyse market intelligence with regard to clients, markets, products, and competitors

* Collate office based competitor research compiling details into a spreadsheet with a matrix of criteria
* Analyse business and market figures and trends for existing and potential markets
* Analyse their competitors and develop a competitors database for future reference including SWOT analysis, org. charts etc.
* Competitor landscape - research and compilation of company details of competitors by industry sector (brewing / distilling / pharmaceutical / juice etc.), capability (consultancy / manufacturing etc.), specialism (design, automation, construction) and geographical location (local / global etc.)
* Provide competitive analysis on various companies market offerings, identify market trends, pricing / business models, sales and methods of operation
* Collate data to prepare reports containing charts / tables showing anticipated product volumes and growth volumes per client in the industries (brewing / distilling / pharmaceutical / juice etc.) that the group serve
* Identify key clients per industry sector in the current regions that the group companies operate in
* Identify key clients in other regions that can be targeted by Group sales force
* Obtain feedback from sales managers, interacting with clients and suppliers to understand the requirements of clients' needs their strategies and opportunities
* Initiate and execute client interaction to gather client feedback on specialised topics
* Attend technical seminars, exhibitions and conferences as required

Provide results from market intelligence analysis to the management, sales, product management, R&D and operations and other stakeholders

* Communicate competitive strategies and activities on a market and account level
* Interpret the data gathered, prepare specialised reports upon request and make recommendations
* Build and maintain databases for market intelligence
* Attend regional and international sales meetings to present market research as requested

Key Requirements:

Education:

* Degree level in Economics, Marketing or Sales
* English : Business fluent
* German : Business proficient (preferred)

Professional experience:

* 3-5 years of experience in international marketing and sales, preferably in industrial Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) market
* Understanding of our target markets and customers strongly preferred

Technical skills:

* MS-Office
* Knowledge of statistical software
