This organisation is looking for a Direct Marketing Officer to join their well-established team in Central London for a 9-12 month fixed term contract.

This organisation is a leading international development charity.


The key responsibilities of this Direct Marketing Officer will be:

* Work within the wider team that creates, maintains and develops appeals, products and campaigns to recruit and retain supporters
* Lead assigned marketing campaigns to effectively recruit, develop, retain and/or upgrade supporters
* Ensure all assigned marketing campaigns are effectively managed and reported on
* Appropriate target audiences are identified for all campaigns using accurate data and market analysis
* Direct marketing campaigns are effectively evaluated and feed into future campaigns
* The organisation meets the direct marketing campaign targets. These campaigns are delivered within agreed timeframes and within budget, with the successful input of internal and external parties. Internal and external parties are effectively briefed on all aspects of the direct marketing campaigns
* Individual participation strategies are effectively contributed to


The key responsibilities of this Direct Marketing Officer will be:

* Knowledge of successful fundraising and direct marketing methods and techniques with specific background and knowledge in acquisition of new supporters.
* Detailed knowledge of using databases for effective marketing
* Understanding of legal requirements linked to direct marketing/fundraising and data protection
* Relevant experience of direct marketing in the voluntary or commercial sector
* Experience in project managing direct marketing campaigns
* Experience of working with creative agencies and other suppliers
* Experience in working closely with digital marketing and scrum methodology
* Ability to assess creative work and edit copy for offline and online campaigns
* Excellent negotiating and briefing skills for work with agencies
* Ability to work cross organisationally

Job Offer

This organisation is looking to offer a salary of between £35,000 and £37,000.
