Role - A key role in the new marketing team. Enabling the business to meet its challenging revenue targets and achieve the ambition in our Corporate Plan to increase our annual revenue to £200m by 2020. Ensuring the business takes advantage of the results and recommendations of the marketing audit. Develop and review the marketing strategy. Continually reviewing our position in the market, analysing and reporting on macro environmental trends. Supporting the corporate planning process, customer reporting and business planning rounds. Ensuring intelligence gathered is utilised and disseminated to colleagues in BD and across the business to support strategic and tactical planning. Managing external research agencies supporting the marketing work and internal marketing resources.

Duties -

* The incumbent will need to develop and maintain an excellent understanding of our markets both UK and overseas. Researching and providing analysis on competitors, pricing, partners and customers, recommending those with potential for growth.
* The incumbent will work closely with the Head of New Business Sales and Account Management and the Commercial Teams within the business Groups.
* The incumbent will work closely with the Account Mangers to develop marketing strategy for specific major opportunities.
* The incumbent work closely with the chief executive office to ensure an effective Stakeholders management plan is implemented.
* Develop, maintain and review the corporate marketing strategy, which is a result of the marketing audit work.
* Identify and recommend suitable new markets/customers to exploit
* Understand customer needs and priorities to inform and recommend opportunity development from the very early stages working with the Sales Team and contributing to the development of the Blue sheets at early stages
* Analyse and report on government initiatives to ensure our product and service focus will support long term customer needs
* Support the Corporate Planning process by providing the macro environmental perspective and associated business impacts together with recommendations.
* Identify and build successful external relationships with strategic partners and influencers within government
* Identify and manage relevant third party organisations f- identifying when outsourcing provides better value and utilising internal resources - to provide, information and business intelligence
* Develop and maintain all relevant aspects of CRM recording and work with colleagues to develop MI and reporting
* Maintain information on the CRM database and report information as required
* Contribute to the development of the CRM system to ensure market intelligence requirements are included in the business cases
* Work with Product Development team in Engineering & Technology Group to determine the viability of new products in existing and new markets
* Research and evaluate new product and service opportunities, demand for potential products, and customer needs and insights, using independent research and feedback obtained through the Customer Experience and Account Management teams.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the below:-

* 3 years' experience in marketing
* Experience of working with the public sector
* Excellent written and verbal skills
* CIM or equivalent qualifications
* Experience in marketing overseas
* Experience in Develop, maintain and review the corporate marketing strategy

Candidates submitted for this role must be British nationals, to confirm:

* They are a British citizen or hold dual nationality, and
* They have been a resident in the UK for at least two of the last 10 years.
* Due to the nature of this work Government security clearance if not already held will need to be obtained.
* The minimum clearance required for this role is SC -Although advantageous it is not a requirement that an individual already holds security clearance.
