A modern, progressive law firm has a vacancy for a Senior Key Account Manager in their Consumer sector. This firm is a global market leader with an enviable portfolio of key accounts.

Key responsibilities include:

* Managing a small portfolio of own accounts comprised of the sector's most strategic clients, through deployment of world-class key account management techniques
* Directing all marketing communications globally for the sector, ensuring that it entirely aligned with the sector strategy - clients, markets, products & services - challenging traditional marketing techniques and embracing technology and cutting-edge approaches to drive connectivity with the client base
* Influencing strategic hires and coach individuals to ensure that they are successfully integrated into client teams in order to expedite ROI
* Informing the leadership of global Client Service Teams, facilitating change where needed. Input to appraisal, reward and recognition and promotion processes for key fee-earners within the sector to drive delivery of KPIs
* Managing conflicts, ensuring that interests of clients are balanced with our long-term aspirations for the sector
* Working collaboratively with other support functions to provide a seamless service to the business
* Developing and building key client and industry relationships, participating in client reviews when necessary
* Providing business intelligence on key competitors and marketplace trends, identifying ways of gaining a competitive advantage in the market
* Championing the use of the Franklin Covey techniques as best practice
* Working with Finance to establish the Marketing Budget based on the strategy
* Identify and drive strategic secondments to maximise business development impact
* Crafting and driving a bespoke client feedback plan for each account in personal portfolio, ensuring a follow-up plan is implemented
* Leading, coaching and motivating a small team consisting of one key account manager and one client communications executive
* Deputising for Team Head of Account Management on occasion, acting as advocate for the Client Programme on a global basis

You will have extensive experience in a key account management role within professional services firm and a proven ability to influence and harness the talent and resources across marketing, business services and the fee-earner community on a global basis to achieve long-term business objectives. You'll have experience in a client-facing environment and evidence of driving significant change in a partnership through well-developed diplomacy, listening and influencing skills and evidence of the ability to build strong internal relationships at the highest level in order to implement strategic change. You'll have the ability to present with clarity, energy, confidence and enthusiasm and possess an established network of external contacts in the sector - clients, prospects and key industry figures, along with an intimate knowledge of Consumer sector developments and emerging legal themes with the ability to translate into a compelling value proposition. With strong financial acumen and a strong grasp of leading marketing communications techniques including social media you will be able to craft a stand-out marketing communications strategy to provide genuine strategic advantage.
