Based in one of the leading national law firms, this is an unusual role for a Corporate Affairs Lawyer with a strong marketing focus. The role holder will be tasked with providing provoking thought leadership and public affairs initiatives to the firm's market and insurance clients.

The Corporate Affairs Lawyer will be responsible for examining the impact of legal and political shifts on the international insurance environment and the steps relevant stakeholders need to take to protect the sector's future. Working closely with partners, lawyers and Business Services teams, you will use a variety of channels in order to raise the firm's profile and will be expected to bring ideas to the role to support clients with intelligence, advice, campaigns and connectivity. There will be a heavy emphasis on communications, research and writing and co-authoring relevant content for a range of publications and media.

The successful candidate will have both post qualification legal and insurance industry experience and an excellent understanding of client markets, regulatory environments and business objectives within these industries. It is essential that the Corporate Affairs Lawyer has outstanding communication and presentation skills combined with demonstrable strong writing skills to include the ability to write for the internet and non-legal audiences and to communicate complex issues with clarity. A can-do attitude with the energy to see initiatives through to their conclusion is prerequisite
