An Interim internal communications opportunity has arisen within a higher education institution based in Brighton.

Client Details

Our client is a higher education institution based in Brighton.


The Internal Communications team in the Marketing and Communications department is responsible for communicating to 21,000 current students and 2,800 staff to support student/staff success and retention.

They are looking for a communications professional to focus primarily on our staff audiences, supported by our Internal Communications Manager on an interim basis. This is a key delivery role, communicating the successful implementation of our five-year University Strategy and supporting colleagues across multiple campuses to share news and views.

This is a really exciting time to join the University and will provide an opportunity to be an important part through the staff engagement communications!


The successful candidate will have internal communications experience and be familiar with comms planning and campaigns, but you also must be able to hit the ground running with dotmailer, SharePoint and communications tools/platforms.

Good copy writing skills are a must. This is a really tactical delivery role and an individual with the right mindset will be able able to find great ways of improving ways of working, and take pride in the quality of delivery. The desire to ensure that staff receive prompt and accurate information that enables them to understand the strategic direction of the university, and the important role that they play in our continued success is essential.
