Various opportunities to secure business in established and new markets are becoming evident and the board is intent on appointing an exceptional Group Sales & Marketing Director to realise their full potential. 
 
Role

  • Executive Board Member reporting to the CEO
  • Strategic decision-making and direction for the whole group on all marketing and sales 
  • Lead, inspire and direct large teams of marketing, branding, PR, communications, digital media and business development professionals, working closely with expert heads of services 
  • Plan and execute effective multi-channel brand promotion and customer engagement  
  • Control a multi-million group-wide budget  
  • Identify and open new channels to market
  • Forge new and deepen existing relationships that result in more and better business 
  • Ensure and reinforce positive customer experience 
  • Build brand awareness underpinned by a values-centric ethos  
  • Lead CSR, which is core to the culture as a defining characteristic 

Candidate

  • Broad and demonstrable success of marketing and selling complex services
  • Leader by both inspiration and example
  • Experience of leadership in high-performance professional environments where the best is expected and given and where mutual trust and respect are essential
  • Prior executive responsibility in group structures and adept at matrix management
  • Drive and personal credibility, combined with imagination, resilience and intellect
  • Qualifications and a career history of achievement in marketing and sales
  • Team player with the interpersonal sensitivity necessary to catalyse and drive performance
  • Flexible, understanding and accommodating - able to find a route through
  • Creative and innovative, but with the discipline and rigour to ensure completion
  • Engaging communicator, accessible to all, in writing, in person, in the media and online
