A leading HE institution based in Uxbridge are looking to recruit a Marketing Manager to lead and develop the marketing strategies for a key College within the University.

Client Details

Our client is a leading HE institution based near Uxbridge. This role is working within a large marketing, communications and recruitment directorate with excellent opportunities for career progression.

The University is easily accessible via the underground or by car on the M25/M4/M40.


Reporting into the Associate Director of Marketing, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing effective marketing strategies for one of the University's Colleges at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate level, across home and international markets.

The Marketing Manager will directly manage a team of two Senior Marketing Officers with virtual responsibility for a Student Recruitment Officer and a Digital Communications Officer. Leading this virtual functional team of Marketing, Digital and Student Recruitment Officers in promoting College courses to the appropriate target market, you will also support the achievement of recruitment and conversion objectives via a content-led, value adding approach.

As a marketing 'account manager' for the colleges, you will be the primary point of contact for all Academic staff and other college stakeholders, ensuring that marketing activities are well communicated and positively received via proactive stakeholder engagement.


The Marketing Manager role requires the following experience:

* Degree qualified with a relevant marketing membership or qualification i.e. CIM or IDM

Demonstrable experience of successful marketing; marketing and communications strategies, plans and campaigns.

Proven knowledge and experience of traditional and digital marketing practices and concepts.

Excellent understanding of the principles and importance of brand strategy and integrated marketing communications.

Proven awareness and understanding of digital trends, emerging technologies and social platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Periscope.

Knowledge of how to write compelling clear, concise and effective copy for marketing communications and reporting.

Strong understanding of the importance of a CRM system.

A broader knowledge of Higher Education recruitment process and practices is highly desirable
