Client Details

My Berkshire based client is a giant within the automotive industry. They have great brand awareness and engagement levels from their consumers and employees alike. They are now looking for an Internal Communications Manager to drive engagement across all business areas and become the face of the business internally.


The Internal Communications Manager will be responsible for:

* Owner and be the face of internal communications across the business and network ensuring internal communications plans are aligned and tone of voice is consistent.
* Drive business culture, philosophy and everything the company stands for. You will work across the business to create plans that help to harness the brand, building pride and engagement so that everyone becomes a positive ambassador for the company.
* Oversee internal communications channels and ensure effective platforms and tools are in place to successfully allow the business to engage in two-way conversation with associates. Accountable for the day-to-day management of the internal communications platform; a central portal which allows the business to communicate exciting, motivational and engaging content to associates and the dealer network.
* Set the content agenda and deliver a timely editorial calendar to increase associate awareness and pride, ensuring all content is aligned with the latest business objectives. Includes agency and budget management as well as continual evaluation of our communication channels to understand audience insights and engagement.
* Working closely alongside HR, you will also support and deliver change management and association communications.
* Responsible for establishing and nurturing relationships with the community and local charities and identifying opportunities to promote good causes and encourage associate participation.


The ideal candidate will ideally display:

* Technical expertise in internal communications as well as developing and executing sustainability and community programmes.

* Outstanding communications skills both verbally and written.
* Action-orientated with proven experience of balancing strategic thinking with creative delivery and project managing initiatives from conception to delivery across multiple functions.
* High level of planning and organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple high priority tasks in this busy role.
* Self-starter, driven and motivated with a strong desire to establish best in class internal communications and sustainability campaigns.
* High business acumen, with a proven ability to understand corporate/brand/financial performance and translate for associates.
* Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to interact with all levels across the business. Ability to forge relationships very quickly with senior management and to manage upwards.
* Strong team player with the ability to manage tasks and campaigns that involve multidisciplinary areas (e.g., Marketing, Dealer Network) and collaboration with multiple internal stakeholders.
* Innovative and creative thinker who keeps up to date with latest advancements in the field of Internal Communications.
* Previous experience of developing internal communication evaluation criteria to measure the success and impact of internal communications on associate engagement.
