The E-Commerce Trading Manager works closely with Category Managers and influences them to change ways of working to support the business objective of our client's digital business.

Description

* Manage the day-to-day operations of the trading team including digital category planning, S&OP planning, forecasting, performance reporting, analysis, promotion planning and execution as well as liaison with internal stakeholders
* Lead the trading team and champion their growth and development
* Manage stakeholder relationships, address operational challenges, provide escalation management, influence and balance business needs versus technical constraints, and maximise ROI while providing a great customer experience
* Lead the Trading team in developing and implementing plans to grow the E-commerce business across existing and new categories
* Lead the development and implementation of new initiatives e.g. new channels to market, new features and functionality, third party partnerships
* Meet all customer key performance indicators e.g. bounce rate, conversion, dwell time
* Review the product range and influence category teams to deliver product selection that meets the needs of the online customer
* Identify and work with third party suppliers to expand relevant online exclusive product ranges

* Demonstrated experience using data and metrics to measure performance and determine improvements
* Understanding and use of web metrics and how to gauge
* Ability to analyse data quantitatively and use customer research, data and metrics to back up assumptions, identify opportunities, and assess the efficacy of trading programs
* 3+ years leading an ecommerce trading team
* 2 years plus experience in a similar role ideally in a multi-category general merchandise retailer
* 3+ years relevant work experience in roles requiring data analysis, process improvements, creative problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration
* Minimum 3 year's site trading experience executing highly visible online trading initiatives
