The client is a B2B business based in Yorkshire.
Description
* Support the Business Development team as required in the early phases of sales opportunities
* Develop and agree a bid win strategy for each opportunity
* Lead the bid team through the bid and process to ensure that high quality tenders and bids are delivered on time and to specification
* Work with the team to develop cost effective and build able solutions for the prospective customers
* Ensure that prices from outside suppliers and subcontractors are robust
* Ensure appropriate QA has been undertaken to ensure prices are competitive but margin expectations can be realised during the delivery phase
* Follow risk management protocols during each bid and ensure appropriate mitigation has been undertaken
* Ensure that contractual conditions agreed fully protect the company's commercial position and that all payment terms agreed deliver positive cash flow to the business
* Report the performance and progress of all bids ensuring internal approvals are in place as appropriate to the scheme
* Ensure effective handovers to the Project Delivery and Manufacturing teams are undertaken and support scheme Project Managers as appropriate during the initial stages of delivery
* Encourage and nurture professional relationships with customers, internal staff, external designers/partners, subcontractors and suppliers
Profile
- Track record in bid management
- Degree educated
- Experience working in key markets such as- education, B2B, construction
- Managing teams
- Understanding of construction project delivery
- Experience managing budgets over £15m
