Are you the best thing since sliced bread in the food industry? Then we want to hear from you.

Mackenzie Jones is recruiting for a talented Senior Category Manager for an exciting, leading and further expanding chilled food business in the South East following an impressive growth plan.

In addition to being the best thing since sliced bread, you'll need to be responsible for analysing and interpreting reports, data and insight and delivering more than just the chilled business' bread and butter results.

A strategist and a natural with data, you'll spot trends and opportunities and make recommendations to internal and external stakeholders to optimise the category performance.

As a Senior Category Manager, you will have responsibility for the bigger customers, be expected to add value and influence decision-makers, and of course lead by example internally.

We want to hear from someone who has;

  • experience of category management in an own label business
  • experience of chilled, fresh or ambient goods.
  • pretty good customer relationship skills, as the role will require customer facing responsibilities
  • the ability to offer genuine and leading insight and category stories

...and of course someone who will cut through the chilled industry like a hot knife through butter.

Customer experience in convenience, contract catering, food service or similar is desirable but strong interpersonal skills with desire and passion are of course a pre-requisite for the role.
