A leading property consultancy firm has a position for a Business Development Manager to join its dynamic team, working as a key member of the national Property Management (PM) business line by leading and supporting the Head of Property Management, with a diverse range of new business development related projects.

The role includes managing key clients, bid management, client targeting, sector and client analysis and business development planning. You will work alongside the Head of Property Management and Senior Management within PM to plan, implement, manage and evaluate business development activity.

Key deliverables include:

Strategy and management: Working with Account Managers in PM nationally to implement business development strategies and plans designed to grow the UK Property Management business and ensuring best practice tools, skills and processes are utilised within PM. Contributing to key projects within the business line and playing a lead role where required.

Bid & Pitch management: You will lead PM pitches and ensure the pitch process is followed at all times.

Key account management: You will assist Key Account Managers and their teams to develop appropriate strategies for each client, ensure client satisfaction surveys are carried out with clients.

Client targeting: You will ensure that the process for selecting appropriate target clients is defined in line with the PM Business Plan and followed nationally.

Property Management: You will encourage cross-selling between PM Property Management and others business lines, researching target clients and industry issues in conjunction with the Research team to provide market intelligence to inform targeting.

Business development campaigns & analysis: You will work closely with the Research, Marketing and Sales teams to build campaigns around issues led research for your business areas.

Events: You will work with the Key Account Managers across PM and the Marketing and Business Development teams to identify and measure appropriate events and seminars for key and target clients.

You will manage a small team / project teams and develop graduates and newly qualified employees and be a recognised senior specialist who shares knowledge and advises others. You will be educated to degree level and preferably RICS qualified, with a good track record of extensive business development, pitch focused and marketing experience in the Real Estate industry with a solid understanding of marketing and business development processes. You must have strong communication skills with an ability to write clearly for an international audience together with an excellent eye for detail, with the ability to build strong relationships with the confidence to challenge and be a sound decision maker who is motivated and driven.
