A leading, globally established, financial services business is seeking to recruit an experience Media Relations and PR specialist to join their time in a lead management role here in London. The role will take a senior lead in the department, deputising for the Head of Media Relations when necessary, amongst various other strategic responsibilities.

Key responsibilities:

* Supporting the Media Relations Director in identifying and pursuing opportunities that distinguish and evolve the firm's reputation globally
* Provide support on crisis and complex issues, partnering with internal stakeholders
* Deputise for the Head of in their absence
* Liaise with and work alongside a range of internal and external stakeholders
* Develop and execute an effective PR strategy across regions
* Be key point of contact for the PR team across business units, developing strong relationships across the board
* Develop a strong understanding of corporate policy in relation to talent, as well as remaining up to date with public policy, and corporate narrative
* Develop engaging content which can be distributed to the media
* Aid in managing PR agency
* Plan and manage events, inclusive of roundtables, events, dinners, seminars, functions; helping to secure speakers beneficial to the business
* Write blogs, articles and news updates for the firm - creating both audio and visual content across media channels
* Measure effectiveness of media relations strategy

Your profile:

* At least 5 - 10 years in a media relations within financial services environment
* Ability to work effectively in a complicated, matrixed business
* Strong "story teller"
* Genuine interest in finance and business
* Organised, strong relationship builder with the ability to influence stakeholders
