NEW Senior Business Development Manager- Private Client role with commercial law firm.

The Senior Business Development Manager (SBDM) will run the operational aspects of the business development team along with driving the planning, development and execution of key Sector and/or Divisional marketing plans and campaigns and to help in the identification and creation of opportunities to win new business.

This key role requires a Senior Business Development Manager to drive the business development and marketing strategy and activities for the Private Wealth and Charity and Not For Profit sectors. In addition to this the Senior BDM will also play a key role in supporting the Head of Business Development across a variety of projects and in particular in managing the day to day workload of the London Business Development Managers.

* Business development and targeting support
* Planning and budgeting
* Working with the Director of Business Development & Communication, the Head of Business Development and Partners to review, develop and update business plans and budgets
* Participating in relevant meetings and providing updates on business plans, budgets and marketing activities
* Targeting and networking
* Working with fee earners to develop strategic targeting of new business
* Using InterAction, to create, maintain and refine shared target/mailing lists
* Developing relationships with key intermediaries as referrers of new business
* Developing, populating and reporting on key information repositories, such as deals databases, pitches, events, digital statistics (website, emailings), PR, new matters, key marketing activity
* Reporting at all levels to a variety of groups including: sector, division, service groups and sub groups, as well as the senior marketing team and wider marketing and BD group
* Project managing the pitch process including: advice on go/no go decision making, organising and facilitating pitch planning meetings with fee earners, undertaking/coordinating basic research for pitches

The successful candidate will have previous Business Development and Marketing experience at a Senior level, with line management experience and a track record of delivering and achieving results and targets. You will be able to influence and build strong working relationships with senior stakeholders.
