Your new role
Your role as Communication and Engagement Manager will see you lead on several generalist roles focusing specifically on Alumni both in the UK and oversees. This role is for 9 months on a contract basis starting at the end of September and offers an attractive salary pro-rated of £40,000. This is a pivotal role in leading, managing and reinvigorating a global programme of alumni and fundraising engagement activities. You will manage a small team and will be responsible for strategic, operational and budgetary matters across the group. A keen and creative communication approach will be developed to initiate key engagement pieces with both internal and external stakeholder. Generalist marketing, communications and engagement are key activities of the function and the post-holder will have experience of working closely with fundraising in order to implement positive outcomes.

What you'll need to succeed
Experience in engagement or managing membership organisations would be beneficial to the role in order to develop a strong benefits package for the community. The role is responsible for overseeing the delivery of events and therefore a strong track record of partnership working would be valuable. Line management experience of small teams is essential with the ability to motivate and lead the team effectively. The role is responsible for managing a multi-disciplinary team including Engagement Officers, a Regular Giving Officer and a Database Manager. You will have ambitious planning skills in order for your team to deliver valuable outcomes.
