This role will be responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering a range of communications through a variety of channels that promote our client and its activities to internal and external stakeholders. PR and direct media liaison experience is a necessity

Description

This role is responsible for promoting our client to its customers and interested stakeholders through PR activity and events. The role is also responsible for the yearly internal communications plan but does not have responsibility for the production of all internal communications. The role will cover the following 5 key areas:



1. Proactive PR

* Seeking out stories from across the organisation and developing appropriate content to support wider external communications and campaign plans
* Writing and selling in press releases (NO PR AGENCY)
* Maintaining press contacts database
* Monitor media results

2. Reactive PR

* Responding to requests
* Managing brand reputation risk

3. Internal Communication Planning

* Coordinating and delivering the internal communications plan
* Ensuring consistency and engagement across internal communications in the business
* Enrich the internal communications experience - making it easier and more enjoyable to receive internal communications

4. Internal Communications Channels

* Owning the intranet
* Overseeing production and management of written internal communication
* Provide support for delivery of team events
* Provide support to teams delivering their own internal communications

5. Community

* Planning, delivering and evaluating the annual community programme
* Budget management for community objectives


Profile

The successful candidate will have the ability to:

* Sell in to the media directly without the use of a PR agency
* To produce an annual PR plan and deliver it in line with business objectives
* Support internal communications
