Heathrow Airport welcomes over 75 million passengers per year through the doors of its terminals and has long held the reigns as the UK's busiest airport and one of the world's busiest airline hubs. The passengers who arrive at Heathrow routinely shop online through their favourite high street stores and expect the same of their airport stores. Heathrow already has a Reserve and Collect service which has experienced impressive growth and this has led to a significant business investment in a next generation eCommerce platform capable of meeting future demand - increasing the range of retailers, the range of products and taking the airport into exciting new propositions such as airline lounge or on-board shopping and home delivery.
Detailed Job Description
This Senior eCommerce Manager is a new role for the business and will lead the Heathrow online retail revolution by managing the implementation of the new platform and ensuring ongoing delivery of a world-class user experience befitting Heathrow's £1.6bn retail business featuring some of the world's most prestigious and successful brands. As a recognised eCommerce expert you will be familiar with the implementation of a new online shop and, in parallel with an eCommerce platform provider, knit together the required technical components, liaise with retail partners, design business processes for fulfilment and payment, and above all ensure a visually appealing virtual shop window that passengers will love. You will own the site and be tasked with both the marketing of the site and the continuous improvement of the service through development of new ideas and innovations.
The Senior eCommerce Manager will
- Manage all aspects of retail eCommerce: drive online sales, improve conversion rates, increase basket size and average order value, maximise upsell and repeat purchase opportunities
- Manage the eCommerce Executive in order to deliver eCommerce strategy
- Manage commercial partnerships with major retailers
- Manage relationship with third party platform provider and ensure the site is continuously performing
- Work with digital marketing in order to deliver integrated annual marketing plan
- Analyse web performance and make strategic recommendations to the business

What's on offer
A salary of between £50,000-60,000 depending on experience + package.
