A leading legal firm is looking for a BD Assistant to provide high quality, proactive business development support to the Business Group and business development team.

You will build relationships with the relevant practice areas to gain an understanding of their business objectives and contribution to the business development plans and work closely with the Business Development Manager (BDM) and Business Development Executives (BDEs) to support business development, client relationship management and marketing strategies for the Business Group. The Business Group comprises of Banking & Finance, Real Estate, Construction and Financial Services Regulatory practice areas, as well as the Hotels & Leisure, Financial Institutions and Real Estate Sector groups.

Your principal responsibilities will include:

Business Strategy/ New Business:

* Assisting with the business planning process, strategy planning and budgeting process for all practice areas within the business group, preparation of market research to support the business planning and client planning processes, creation and updating of marketing collateral, creation of pitch documents, credentials documents and team sheets and management of fee earner CV's for use in pitch documents.

BD Management support:

* Management of the Israel Group and supporting the firm's TMC Sector Group, providing proactive BD support and being the primary BD point of contact for the lawyers within these groups, collating and reviewing content for inclusion in the firm's internal weekly update, maintenance of deals databases and updating of the firm's central pitch database and management and creation of client eAlerts and mailings for all practice areas in the business group.

Training / coaching / events:

* Supporting on client events and developing a plan for effective follow up to monitor ROI, supporting the BDEs / BDM on coaching / training, and attending training on Business Development core skills.

You will have good communication skills - both written and oral, good interpersonal and influencing skills, be proactive, enthusiastic, tenacious and commercial approach and possess the ability to work to deadlines, juggle multiple projects and deliver under pressure. You will have had experience working within a professional services environment.
