Marketing and Sales Manager
We are a small team who make videos and tell stories for a living. A large amount of our work is for charities and non-profit making organisations, with a small amount of corporate work thrown in for good measure. We have an informal, relaxed culture, driven by laughter, storytelling and many, many cups of tea.
We have produced work for a wide variety of clients ranging from computer game giants (Bethesda), technology giants (Nokia) and sporting giants (Jonny Wilkinson) but sadly no actual giants. We’ve shot people in love, in the air, on the beach and on fire (although not at the same time) across over a dozen different countries in locations ranging from the Circle Line to the Arctic Circle. Our past collaborators include Joss Whedon, Lily James, Stephen Fry, Ian McKellen and Andrew Scott.

We are looking to appoint a lead figure within our marketing and sales operation. Until now, these roles have been managed by senior staff within the company, but as we grow we are looking to hire dedicated staff. This is an interesting, customer-focused role that the right appointee can develop to further enhance and expand the client base of Catsnake.
The role is full-time, typically Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm in our office in Ealing Studios. That said, and subject to the needs of the role, there may be some flexibility on days, hours and location in order to fit into the right candidate’s life. This could include some aspect of home-working, although the majority of the job will always be in the office.
As this is a new structure for the company, we intend to make a trial appointment for a period of two months. During the trial period we will assess how it’s working and if deemed successful we will look to make this a long-term position. The main deciding factors will be the work generated by the appointee during this two month period and how the appointee fits in the company culture.
The role is paid at base salary of £20,000 per year, plus bonuses. Based on the previous twelve months of trading, the bonuses would have brought the annual gross pay of this role to around £35,000. There is no cap on bonuses, but past levels of bonuses are not guaranteed.
Our ideal candidate is committed to marketing and has an interest in filmmaking, storytelling and / or other creative endeavours. Much of our work is for charities, pressure groups and non-profits who are seeking to have a positive impact on the world, and our staff tend to have a genuine enthusiasm for enhancing the aims of our clients. The duties of the role will include:
- Generating target lists of possible clients.
- Contacting possible clients, with a view to setting up meetings for senior staff.
- Attending sales meetings.
- Generating and executing marketing campaigns to promote the company.
- Creating Pitch documents (using our in-house templates) for potential work.
- Building and managing the sales funnel from cold-calling through to completed sale.
