Marketing Manager Campaigns and Conversion

We have now embarked on an ambitious marketing and student recruitment plan which capitalises on a wider change programme taking place in the university. Following a team reorganisation, this role has been established with a key purpose to 1) attract the best students from across the UK through direct response campaigns and 2) optimise conversion at each point of the enquirer to student journey.
Managing a team of two as well as external agencies, you will deliver standout advertising campaigns and personalised conversion activities. You will also support the Head of Marketing and work with specialist technical teams across the university to deliver a ‘marketing stack’ that is fit for purpose for an organisation like Kingston University. You will be the ‘go to’ person for all things related to CRM and work across teams to ensure conversion communications are on brand, joined up and meet data compliance requirements.
An accomplished marketing manager, you will have implemented or extensively used marketing automation and CRM systems, have an excellent understanding of customer journeys, managed high performing customer database programmes and have a proven record of managing an agency to deliver digital and traditional advertising campaigns.
It goes without saying that you will be a data savvy marketer with the knowhow of tracking and monitoring marketing KPIs – looking beyond clicks and views to get ‘under the skin’ of customer decision-making and continuously monitoring and improving outputs.
Not only are these skills inherent in you, you will have the management and leadership skills to transfer this to your team.
You will be the sort of person who thrives on variety, is adept at multi-tasking and rises to the challenge of shifting priorities and demanding deadlines.
This role would suit an established marketing professional, with a relevant degree and demonstrable automation, CRM and agency management experience.
While you will be based at the University’s Kingston Hill campus, the role will also require you to visit other campus sites and locations on a regular basis.
Our Marketing and Communications Directorate provides a strategic operational and advisory service to the University on all aspects of external promotion and internal publicity. This includes UK and international marketing, student recruitment, admissions, widening participation, market research, website management, social media, media relations, branding, copy writing, editing, design and print.
