Full mix standalone marketing position for 6 months covering the latter part of a maternity leave

Fast-growing international strategy consultancy based in Central London


Overall purpose of the role/key tasks:

 Responsible for the development and delivery of marketing initiatives and the management and day-to-day running of the marketing function

 To work closely with the Partner in charge of UK marketing and the International Marketing Committee (IMC) to develop and implement UK and international marketing programmes.

Role Description:

The marketing manager is a key member of support staff, reporting to the Partner of the firm responsible for marketing. As a large proportion of the role involves liaison with Partners of the firm, the candidate will have to combine strong interpersonal skills with excellent marketing co-ordination and management skills. The role will be split 50/50 between UK and international marketing, with particular focus across PR (UK and international), roll out of the international brand project and website management.

Key Responsibilities - International Marketing:


 Manage the web agency relationship to deliver enhancements and issue fixes

 Have ownership of and responsibility for all web content (UK) and specific content for international (including content creation, uploading content, sharing)

 Work with internal stakeholders to develop and improve the site

 Develop analytics to drive ongoing enhancement work and support online content development

International Brand Positioning Project

 Roll out the final phase of the international brand positioning project across the network - working with the agency and local offices to ensure the structure is in place to deliver the agreed market support

Publications: are routinely written by the UK Partners and overseas offices.

 Manage and co-ordinate the development, production and delivery of the Strategic Insights annual publication

 Central coordination of global publications list and alerting Partners to new publications

Communication and Sharing Best Practice:

 Provide semi-regular comms internationally on new IP and media wins

 Working with the marketing teams in each office to share ideas across the global network

UK Marketing:


 Be the interface between us and our PR agency

 Liaise with international agencies in the co-ordination of global launches across the relevant offices.

Social Media

 Manage and enhance corporate social media channels including twitter and LinkedIn, creating content to support IP, events and PR and drive engagement


 Organisation of bespoke corporate functions

 General coordination and stimulation of sector-based marketing programmes involving attendance at all general and sector specific marketing related meetings.

InterAction (contact management database):

 Manage the IA process and oversee the data stewards, assisting with contact data audits and data rectification

 Manage part-time admin support resource to keep data up to date

 Ensure integration to the website is effectively developed/managed by the web provider


 Identification of conferences and booking

 Creation and co-ordination of new conferences

 Preparation of marketing materials for sponsored conferences


Overall skills required:

 Demonstrable knowledge of a wide range of marketing techniques and concepts

 Time management - ability to work to deadlines and be able to respond well under pressure

 Think creatively

 Superior organisational skills to manage multiple projects and people

 Proven project and events management skills and experience

 Web editor skills - desirable but not essential

IT skills:

 Strong IT skills, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and CRM (Client Relationship Management) systems

 Knowledge of InterAction (desirable)

 Knowledge of SharePoint or similar collaboration software (desirable)

Educational Level/professional qualifications (minimum requirement)

 Strong A level grade - essential

 Degree (business / marketing related) - essential

 Marketing related qualification/s - desirable
