Client Details

Our client is a leading manufacturing business based in Wiltshire. An opportunity has arisen for an Internal Communications Specialist to transform the way our client engages with their large workforce - embracing and promoting new communications methods to ensure that everyone understands the shared vision, values and purpose of the organisation.


The Internal Communications Specialist will develop innovative communication strategies to support business priorities including immediate, tactical messaging as well as long term communications strategies for the future such as major organisational change projects.

Key responsibilities include:

* Crafting excellent communication materials which demonstrate an understanding of unique and diverse internal audiences - from managers and engineers to factory staff

* Reporting and analysis of internal communication activities to measure impact, drive continuous improvement and shape future strategy

* End-to-end management of large engagement events, including event concept design, stakeholder management, supplier selection, production and delegate management

* Responsibility for the overhaul of the company's existing intranet including implementing a roll-out strategy, creating content and project management


The successful Internal Communications Specialist will have:

* A proven track record in developing innovative communication strategies and approaches for internal audiences

* Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills and the journalistic ability to source stories from employees

* Strong speaking and presentation skills

* Very strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills in order to work with a range of stakeholders within and outside of the organisation

* Creative ability to devise communication strategies based on clear objectives and outcomes, with the relevant know-how to measure the impact

* Familiarity with information technology, especially new and emerging digital communication approaches and techniques is essential

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes, particularly PowerPoint and Word

* Background in supplier management and creative design management
