A fantastic role within CSM.  Essentially Music & Entertainment Division is recruiting for an outstanding, experienced and passionate Senior Account Director to join it’s Consulting business.  

Essentially is an exciting business delivering campaign planning, development and roll out for a fantastic list of clients including, SAB Miller, Unilever and Diageo.  Whilst historically Essentially has specialised in sports marketing, the entertainment division has grown to 50% of our business with clients including SAB Miller, CÎROC vodka, Impulse and Simple. This person will play a key role in the continued growth of Essentially’s expertise in this area.   The role will be to oversee a team focused on strategy, partnership planning, digital campaigns, consumer PR & communications and live activations within the music and entertainment space.  

We are looking for someone who can represent our business in an extremely professional manner, with experience in handling global accounts, consumer brands as well as high profile partnerships.  You will have second-to-none client handling and organisational skills as well strong attention to detail.  You must be someone who thrives working in a fast-paced environment, be used to managing teams and work streams across multiple events, be able to think on your feet and love working as part of team.

Experience within the sponsorship industry and working within all agency teams is essential, and experience of working with talent and managing partnerships is preferable. 

What you will be doing

Client / Account Management

  • Develop an excellent understanding of client strategy and brand objectives, market and key competitors
  • Deliver robust sponsorship campaigns incorporating strategy and tactics
  • Management of PR & Communications campaigns, including overseeing the production of internal toolkits for global market syndication, press releases and key internal comms
  • Management of partnerships and relationships with key campaign talent
  • Management of digital content and social campaigns, ideas development 
  • Develop engagement strategies with social influencers
  • Lead Internal and All Agency brainstorms and ideas development
  • Development and management of project timelines, budgets and status reports 
  • Oversee KPI setting and campaign evaluation
  • Run regular project and status meetings with clients (and external agencies where relevant)
  • Forward planning to anticipate challenges / issues and put in place proactive resolutions 

Self / Team Management

  • Establish regular reporting procedures to track delivery
  • Manage internal brainstorms and meetings
  • Take appropriate actions to resolve any unforeseen issues as they arise
  • Suggest new ways of executing existing operations to enhance future activity
  • Presentation skills (both writing and delivery), internally and to clients / suppliers including use of Microsoft Powerpoint
  • Upwardly manage communication and information flow to line manager and downwardly manage communication and information to wider team
  • Efficient meeting management - preparation and documentation
  • Project management, budget management and event management skills where necessary
  • Develop personal impact / credibility by behaving in a confident and natural manner

Internal Communications

  • Build strong relationships and foster good team spirit internally and amongst client teams
  • Monitor the communications landscape (lifestyle and consumer) to ensure Essentially is proactive rather than reactive
  • Draw upon experience from across CSM, where relevant, to optimise quality of work provided on the account

The Skills & Experience you need

  • At least fives years’ relevant experience within a similar role [agency-based]
  • Experience working on large global consumer brands is preferred, but not essential
  • Experience working with talent and/or influencers
  • Strong client management skills  - ability to manage clients and gain trust and respect of clients
  • Take responsibility for delivering agreed level of activity and meeting deadlines
  • Team management –ability to delegate and manage AE’s
  • Ability to prioritise workload and respond to client briefs on time and within budget
  • Presentation skills (both writing and delivery), internally and to clients / suppliers including use of Microsoft Powerpoint
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written – and attention to detail
  • Creative thinking
  • Knowledge of, and passion for, both sport and music & entertainment is a bonus
