Global Marketing Manager – Major FMCG Brand

Head north of London for this exceptional brand building opportunity with a one of the UK’s best known brand owners!  One of those rare roles in which you play a key role in driving a fast-growing, highly innovative brand - shaping its development, managing global comms initiatives and delivering an exciting innovation and renovation pipeline.  Your focus will span mature markets in the UK and Europe and rapidly developing markets in the US and South America.  You’ll also work on entry strategies for new markets.

Working within a senior brand & innovation team, you will take on a challenging remit, leading a number of project streams focused on hitting a revenue target of $1 bn by 2020.  This will include:

  • Developing and executing integrated marcoms plans and campaigns, supported by clear briefing and compelling consumer insights.
  • Leading innovation & renovation projects from proposition development, liquid and pack creation, naming, design and pricing strategy.
  • Managing and developing successful relationships with local market marketing teams, providing leadership and brand vision through collaborative partnerships.
  • Driving continued growth in the total brand P&L, identifying synergies and improving range profitability. 
  • Building marketing capability and providing training, coaching and mentoring  interventions to teams across the global business.
  • Influencing and stakeholder management of local marketing teams to ensure alignment on core and future brand strategies.

This is a role for an entrepreneurial, inspirational, innovative marketer with exceptional strategic thinking skills and commercial savvy plus a robust FMCG marketing training working on market leading brands across multiple geographies.  You’ll be a big picture thinker who can focus on brand strategy and ambitious growth targets, but also a doer who is happy to get their hands dirty to get the job done. 

  • Broad exposure across the mix with a track record of driving brand growth via smart strategic and commercial thinking, innovative A&P and innovation strategies that tantalise the consumer.
  • Proven experience in leading strategic brand and business planning with sound evidence of consumer insight-led strategy development and implementation.
  • Consistent track record of creating great ideas that have driven real value in the market – across multiple geographies.
  • Advanced senior stakeholder management capability, both internally and with third-party strategic partners.
  • High level of Brand P&L value management experience.
  • Proven reputation for managing 3rd party creative and activation agencies.
