An opportunity has become available for a Communications Officer within a Public Sector Body on a 6 month contract.

Your new role

You role will be to plan and deliver external communications and engagement programmes, campaigns and projects for stakeholders within the organisation. You will liaise with project teams to understand their upcoming work programme and whether this will have an impact on local communities, this role will primarily involve writing letters to local residents and stakeholders to inform them of upcoming road works which may affect them. It will also involve monitoring and analysing the effectiveness of the communications that the team produces, and providing regular reports on this.

What you'll need to succeed

The ability to write clearly and concisely is very important for the role coupled with the skills to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders. The ability to work with technical teams, extract information and translate it into useful content for customer communications is also essential. The ideal candidate will also have public sector or construction communications experience.
