My client a highly progressive and forward thinking organisation is now recruiting a Communications & PR Manager to join their dynamic, fast paced team. You will report into the CEO and be responsible for the planning, development and implementation of all marketing strategies, communications, public relation activities, both external and internal. Applicants must have a marketing/communications/pr background within a food/drinks sector.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for working closely with the CEO, Chairman and The Board in developing, implementing, managing and measuring the Communications Programme
Responsible for line management of Marketing and Comms Manager position
The Communications Programme to include the creation of a forward plan to incorporate rolling corporate news and forward features programme as well as attendance at mainstream events to broader industry-wide events across the UK
Creation and submission of any relevant Awards for the business
Consideration of how to use research reports to best effect and potentially to broader national media audiences
Invitational programme and hosting media at events as appropriate
Creation of case studies and depiction of best practice for media engagement and use
Regular meeting and nurturing of all core media to discuss media platforms and forward plans/potential storylines for the business
Working closely with media partners to deliver an agreed programme of editorial concepts that are agreed and mapped out across the year on a commercial basis
Day to day management and implementation of social media programmes (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook)
Pitching in opinion pieces and relevant insight led material to media
Researching, reaching out and putting forward innovative and proactive PR initiatives to support the business
Supporting CEO and Chair in drive for close collaboration across Industry' associations and potentially in creation of (and implementation) of specific marketing campaigns and liaison with stakeholders such as those associations PR teams
Responsible for liaison with Magazine editorial teams to ensure alignment to member stories and national storyline interests and touch points
Evaluation, measurement and forward presentation of results to the Board
Engagement and alignment to online digital platforms - including social media, websites working with Marketing & Comms Officer
Support CEO in the management and preparation of internal communications including regular newsletters and company announcements or member communications

Skills Required:
Educated to Degree level ie, English, PR, Journalism, Communications
Must have extensive experience in either PR or Communications, with proven outputs and strategic marketing experience
Experience of working in a Food, Drink or Hospitality sector within a comms/pr/marketing role is essential
Must have strong external communications experience
Market research, ROI, analysis of data is key
Knowledge of social media channels (facebook, twitter, blogs, instagram, snapchat, you tube)
Excellent writing skills, ie case studies, articles, newsletters, publications
Team management experience
Experience of working with national media (print and broadcast)
Experience in managing communication programmes in trade media and delivering contributions with successful outputs
