A Business Development Manager is sought to join a vibrant and quickly growing Leeds office. Reporting to the Business Development Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving growth through business development activities. This is a dual facing role involving client-facing business development as well as the management of internal projects.

Role & Responsibilities

* Develop opportunities and initiatives for increasing new business
* Identify/research target clients within existing and emerging sectors and liaise with key stakeholders.
* Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business
* Identify and advise key stakeholders of opportunities for new business or cross-selling
* Collaboratively develop opportunities that identify the new/existing client's needs, concerns and objectives.
* Drive, coach, challenge and support the offices/departmental business lines at all levels
* Monitor sales information, including conversion rates, key targets, pipelines managements, budget & trend information
* Build strong and supportive relationships at all levels with key customers
* Present new products and services to enhance existing relationships and grow revenue, arrange and participate in internal and external client brands.
* Act as the driving force behind the implementation of the business development aspects of the departmental strategy, working collaboratively to deliver growth.
* Attend business/networking functions and provide feedback and information on market trends


Skills and Experience

* Strong understanding of the UK Corporate, SME and Private Client business environment
* Demonstrable success in business development, ideally within a professional services environment
* An entrepreneurial approach to business - many existing and future clients are successful business owners and/or investors
* Outstanding relationship building and people management skills - a prolific networker.
* Excellent project management skills
* Proven ability to drive and develop pipeline opportunities
* Thorough understanding of the intricacies involved in complex sales and long selling cycles
* Excellent track record of hitting deadlines and delivering targets
* Commercial astute and conscious of profitable targets/opportunities
* Driven to lead the business development process as well as manage their growing teams
* Communicative, persuasive and innovative thinker
* Confident, resilient and determined
* A team player, with the ability to manage and motivate both upwards and downwards.

Job Offer

* Salary of £40,000 - £50,000 plus benefits
