Job - Senior Community Fundraiser - Sussex - Major globally recognised charity - up to £26,000 + benefits

Your new company:

You will be working for a globally recognised crisis charity who help millions of people though disasters, emergencies and conflict. You will have geographical control over the fundraising activities across Sussex, developing donors and supporters and building a volunteer base to ensure income growth.

Your new role:

You will manage community fundraising across the location, developing the charities donors and supporters and building a volunteer base to ensure income growth. Success depends upon being able to communicate meaningfully, in person, by phone and in writing, about the organisation's work. Inspiring individuals, Trusts and Corporate to support them and managing accurate database records is key to this. The post holder should enjoy contacting potential supporters, feeling able and confident to 'make the ask'. The role requires good organisational and time management skills. You will be part of a wider Community fundraising team that spans the UK.
As well as Senior Community Fundraisers, the team also includes specialist legacy and events teams. You will be responsible for generating income to meet or exceed income targets. To deliver the fundraising plan by generating new business and donors to increase income across the area from all community fundraising income streams cost-effectively and in line with the community fundraising strategy and direction. You will be responsible for building excellent relationships with all donors and supporters and take responsibility for ensuring a supporter experience which is rewarding and secures the relationships for the future. You will research opportunities and ensure you are well placed to take advantage of emergent opportunities to raise income and grow relationships with potential and existing supporters.

What you'll need to succeed:

Your success will depend upon being able to communicate meaningfully, in person, on the phone and in writing. You will inspire individuals, Trusts and Corporate with key messaging and therefore your marketing acumen will be crucial to delivering results. If you have a track record of building lasting relationships through various channels, these examples will be explored at the interview stage and stand you in good stead for hitting the ground running.

What you'll get in return:

In return for your endeavours you will earn a salary of up to £26,000, a pension scheme with up to 6% contribution, 28 days holiday (excluding bank holidays) and flexible work allowed. You will also get £0.45 per business mile and the use of a hire car for journeys that take you more than 50 miles from your base location. You will also be incredibly supported to succeed through direct training from managers that have been successful in the role.
